Ivan, Bernard
Ivan, Bernard Bernard (Bernie/Power I) Ivan, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph and Anastasia Ivan and his "favorite mother-in-law" Margaret (Peggy) King. He is survived by his devoted wife and high school sweetheart, Louisa (McConnell); son, Matthew Ivan (Amy), and the joys of his life, granddaughters, Anna belle and Samantha; daughter, Mary Ivan; brother William(Bill) Ivan(Bonnie); sisters, Theresa Shelton and Elise Hibdon; as well as several cousins, nieces and a nephew. Bernard graduated from Union Endicott High School in 1957 and attended Temple University. He was employed by IBM, Robbins Door and Sash and was a business partner of Skate Estate. In the summer months he was a regular in the caddie shack at Skate Estate Miniature Golf Course. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, an avid hunter and fan of the NCAA and NY Yankees on YES. He often attended UE High School football and basketball games. His family and friends will miss his big smile and the stories that always left them with a smile. His vast hat collection provided additional laughs and was frequently seen at the Dick's open. Per Bernard's request, there will be no services or flowers. Please make donations to your favorite charity in his memory and smile. ARRANGEMENTS ARE BY AEGIS CREMATION & FUNERAL SERVICES, 196 CLINTON STREET, BINGHAMTON, NEW YORK.
