Saddlemire, Alma  
Saddlemire, Alma Alma Saddlemire, 76, of Endwell passed away March 9, 2016. She is survived by her sons, Ray Saddlemire, Endwell, and Karl Saddlemire, Sacramento, California; her sister Joan Whitesell, Trucksville, Pennsylvania; her brother, Harold Redmond, Shickshinny, Pennsylvania; her brother, Stanley Redmond, Gap, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Hazel Nevel. Alma was employed by J.C. Penney, Johnson City, and previously at Price Chopper, Endicott, and the Keypunch Center, Endicott. She enjoyed working with the public, and loved being around her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, on Saturday, July 23rd at 11 am. Following the service, her family will receive friends at the American Legion, Post 1700, 305 Maple Street, Endicott. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Schubmehl, Beverly H.  
Schubmehl, Beverly H. Beverly H. Schubmehl, 98, of Vestal, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Willow Point Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Schubmehl, infant son, Jack Schubmehl, grandson, Thomas Gordon, sister, Jayne Heller, and son-in-law, Robert Gordon. She is survived by her children and spouses; Jeanne Gordon, Bill (Mary) Schubmehl, Richard (Helen) Schubmehl, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Beverly was very active in her church and a member of the Vestal Fire Company #4. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a loving caregiver to her family and others. The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Point Nursing Home, South 3, for their compassionate and loving care. Funeral services will be held at Grace Point Church, 3701 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Private burial will be held in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 765 Main St. Vestal, on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Beverly can be made to, Lourdes Hospice, 169 Riverside Dr. Binghamton, NY 13905, or to a charity of one's choice.

Scott, John V.  
Scott, John V. John V. Scott unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2016. He was predeceased by his son, John V. Scott Jr. and his parents, Olive Scott Fazzone and John J. Scott. He is survived by his wife, Karen and his daughter, Denise along with several nieces and nephews. John was born in Schenectady NY. He graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College. He worked for G.E. in Utica prior to moving to Endicott, NY. He was a manager at IBM Owego and Lockheed Martin and retired after 40 years. He was a past president and member of the Owego Kiwanis. John was a member and past chief at Campville Fire Department for 46 years. He was a fire commissioner for the Town of Owego. He was a deputy coordinator, fire investigator, member of Tioga County Search & Rescue and Hazmat and most recently served as Tioga County Fire Coordinator. He is a member of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs and Chairman of the NYSAFC annual Fire Conference. He was also a member of FASNY. John was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Church in Endicott. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in John's memory to the Campville Fire Department, 6152 NY Rte 17C, Endicott, NY 13760. Calling hours will be from 2pm-6pm on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Our Lady of Good Council of Endicott and The Funeral will be Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Council.

Sedlak, Joan B. Schreiner  
Schreiner Sedlak, Joan B. Joan B. Schreiner Sedlak, 84 of Owego passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Owego. She was predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Clara Cherpak; and husband, John Sedlak. Joan leaves behind her children, Roy (Elizabeth) Schreiner of Owego, Denise (Jeff) Norman of Lansing, and Debra Schreiner; grandchildren, Jordan and Kyle Schreiner, Joshua, Shaun, Eric, Christopher, Michelle and Danielle Swinarski, Gregory, Jason, Adrienne and Vanessa Finley; many great grandchildren; and her dear friend, Doris. She retired from IBM in Owego and worked part time as a cook for the Tioga County Sherriff's Department after many years of service. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Owego. Joan's greatest love was her family and she had a love of music, baseball and watching TV. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego with burail to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Sickler, Robert Kenneth  
Sickler, Robert Kenneth Robert Kenneth Sickler of Vestal, born December 4, 1930, passed away peacefully at his home on July 5, 2016. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Shirley, and oldest son Robert L Sickler. He is survived by his children Lee (Trudy), Lynn (Kim) McPartland, Scott (Pam), and Dori (Dave) Kahabka, Diane Snyder. 16 Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Robert was born in Wyoming County ,PA, and graduated from Binghamton North High. He worked as a Security Guard for IBM, Endicott for 36 years. He was a loving grandfather, and best friend to all his grandchildren. He loved his family, friends, neighbors and trusty sidekick Koko. Robert enjoyed sitting in his screened in porch,"supervising" yard work, watching Koko play, and the deer wander through the yard. His sense of humor was enjoyed by all. Bob's presence in the lives of those he touched will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home LLC, 300 East Main St, Endicott Saturday July 23, 2016 from 10AM until 12PM. In Bob's memory those who wish may make a donation to the Broome County Humane Society.

Simonik, Robert V., of Endicott Robert V. Simonik, 89, passed away peacefully at Absolut Care on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Kuzel; his parents, Vincent & Regina Simonik; and his son David Simonik. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Simonik, of Apalachin; his son, Donald Simonik, of Johnson City; 6 grandchildren, Christiane (Kris) Chanitz, Ian Troiani, Joseph Troiani, Sandra (Michael) McCulskey, Nicholas Simonik and Tiffany Simonik; a great-grandson, Calvin McCulskey; and nieces, Maryann Kuzel and Christine Buchta. He was a member of Most Holy Rosary Church. Roz was a retired I.B.M. Corp. employee after 27 years of service and a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was also a member of the I.B.M. computer club, the Roberson photography club; he loved brain games and building engines. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton, NY. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Smith, Leatha J. Leatha J. Smith, 85, passed away peacefully June 30, 2016 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Lena Horton; sister, Cora Smith; brother, Thomas Horton and grandson, Matthew Ellis. She is survived by daughters, Diane and Thomas Ellis and Debra Smith; grandchildren, Andy and Melissa Smith; Josh Carpenter and fiancée Katie Chapman; James Ellis; Amanda and Emily Potter, great grandchildren, Noah and Hannah Smith; brother, David (Judy) Horton and many special nieces and nephews. She was a big Yankees and Giants fan- worked many years at Specialty Foods. She had a very kind and generous heart and always found the best in people. She loved animals. She would always feed any stray that came to her door. She was especially fond of her cats Jr. and Callie. The family would like to thank Bridgewater Nursing Home for their compassionate care and also the staff at UHS ER and North Tower 3 for their respectful and compassionate care they gave our mom her last days. A memorial service will be held at 4:30PM Friday, July 22 at Calvary Community Church, 780 Harry L. Dr., Johnson City.
