Frank R. Holecek, 73, of Johnson City, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Karoline Holecek; his brothers, Tony and Robert Holecek; his sister, Ann Liburdi. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Donna (Wormuth) Holecek; five children, Karla Decker, Karen (Marc) Yaffe, Kimberly Gates, Andrew (Ilene) Holecek, Vicki Holecek; twelve grandchildren, Danielle, Justyne, Ryan, Kyle, Brittany, Dylan, Amber, Paul, Nathan, Connor, Joshua and Gunnar; three great-grandchildren, Paxton, Maddox and Zyden; seven sisters, Frances Haus, Villa Warboy, Mary Ashley, Rosey Ashley, Millie Sylvester, Geri Kubeli, Donna (Thom) Fetcinko; his brother, Joey (Gloria) Holecek; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a retired employee of IBM Endicott and a veteran of the US Army. He was an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan and enjoyed painting, fishing and gardening. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10 a.m. at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, with the Rev. Lisa Heckman, officiating. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to either the America 13 Beech St. Johnson City, NY 13790 or the 700 Veterans Memorial Highway, Hauppauge, NY 11788.
