Heinle, Harold "PaPa"

Harold F. Heinle 82, of Kirkwood passed away October 8, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Madeline Heinle; son Jim Heinle; brothers John and Robert and a sister Jean. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Jackie Heinle; children Rev. Bob (Barbara) Heinle, Jacky (Bruce) DeVoe, Janet (Tim) Stayer; grandchildren Calvin(Diana)Heinle, Tim Heinle, Kimberly Heinle, Lisa(Michael) Thies, Kimberly (Brennan) Webster, Joy(Jerrod) Trudell, Adam (Cheryl) DeVoe, Dan DeVoe, Jared, Nathan, and Alyssa (Heinle) Brigito, Sam Stayer and Molly Stayer; great-grandchildren Nick, Emily, Maverick and Maggie; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Harold loved his large family who brought much joy to his life. He served in the US Navy from 1950-1954 during the Korean War. He worked at NY Telephone for 39 years as a member of the CWA local 1111 union, he was also member of the Telephone Pioneer Organization. He was an Elder and Deacon at Conklin Presbyterian Church where he always greeted people with a smile and hug. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1645. The family wishes to thank the staff at Susquehanna Nursing Home for their loving and compassionate care. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY. A Funeral Service will be held Friday 11am at Conklin Presbyterian Church 1175 Conklin Ave. Conklin, NY with Rev. Dr. Barry Downing officiating. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Conklin Presbyterian Building Fund P.O. Box 151 Conklin, NY 13748.
