Lahoda, Henry A.

Thompson, PA: Henry A. Lahoda, 92, of Thompson, PA, died Sunday at the Forest City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Forest City, PA. His loving wife, the former Agnes Tomazin, died April 2, 2009. Born on September 6, 1921 in Dickson City, PA, he was the son of the late Jacob and Catherine Primer Lahoda. He lived most of his life in Thompson, owning and operating a dairy farm. He was an excellent polka dancer, loved to play the harmonica for friends and family, and was a great story teller. Surviving are two sons, John Lahoda and wife Cheryl, Vestal, NY, David Lahoda, Athens, PA; three daughters, Joan Mroz and husband Thomas, Thompson, Mary Ann Saslo and husband Paul, Mayfield, PA, Linda Rizzo and husband Frank, West Windsor, NY; 9 grandchildren, Michael Lahoda and wife Tracy, Eldersburg, MD, Matthew Lahoda and wife Gabrielle, Rochester, NY, Samuel Clune, Oakland, CA, Nathan Mroz and wife Linda, Charlotte, NC, Kevin Lahoda and wife Valerie, Cambridge, NY, Daniel Lahoda and wife Jennifer, Los Angeles, CA, Kyle Rizzo and wife Maria, Binghamton, NY, Sara Rizzo and fiance Joshua, Allentown, PA, Brian Mroz, Morrisville, NC; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Lahoda and wife Barbara, Boynton Beach, FL. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Nicholas, William, Stephen, Joseph, and infant Michael; and four sisters, Nancy, Anne, Helen, and infant Mary. The funeral will be Friday from the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Martin of Tours Church, State Routes 92 and 492, Jackson, PA. Interment, Saint Mary's Russian Cemetery, Thompson. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Friday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
