Lloyd Arthur Robinson, 88, passed away March 23, 2013 in Orlando, FL. Mr. Robinson was born March 7, 1925 in Montrose, PA to Arthur Elmer and Nellie (West) Robinson. He was a veteran of the US Army; serving in WWII and a recipient of the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge amongst other medals. After the war, he farmed and he was a cattle broker throughout the United States, Canada and Egypt. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post # 154, and an avid game hunter and fisherman. Red recognized great opportunity for real estate development; St. Cloud dedicated a street in his honor and named it Robinson Avenue. He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Aylesworth of CA; his niece that was caring for him, Jeanette Carrier (Leo) of Orlando, FL and a host of additional nieces and nephews. "Red" as he was affectionately known, was the brother of the late Senator Guy B. Robinson. Red was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Young Robinson. Red built and operated the original "Red's Diner" in Montrose, PA. Services were held in Florida for his many friends. A visitation at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home in Montrose, PA will be held, Monday, April 1st from 2-5-pm. Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday, April 2nd at 10:30 am at St Paul's Episcopal Church with interment immediately following at the family cemetery in Springville, PA.
