Bystrak, Rudolph (Rudy) Louis

Rudolph (Rudy) Bystrak, 85, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013, following a period of declining health. He was born September 30, 1927 in Binghamton to Steve and Judith Bystrak. He was predeceased by his first wife, Olga Kozik, and brothers, John and Paul. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 49 years; and his children, Rudolph Jon (Linda) of AL Judith (Richard Jacyna) of NY, Olenda Schram of NY, Martin (Lisa) of NY, Brendan (Jane) of NY and Dana (Rebecca) of FL; grandchildren, Ashley, Jason, Adrianne, Aaron, Dylan, Shelby, Dale, Ryan Jessica, Emily, and Colby; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jaydon, Jacob, Alexavoir, and Julia; nieces, nephew, and neighbors. Rudy was owner of Bystrak Trucking and a longtime member of The Operating Engineers Local #410. Rudy was an Army Veteran of WWII and a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and Maine Lodge #399 F. & A.M. Rudy was a former member of the Town of Maine Board, Civil Conservation Corps and a member of the Johnson City Senior Citizens Board. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 499 Plaza Drive, Vestal, with Rev. Ester Norman officiating. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.
