Betty A. Pomeroy

Betty A. Pomeroy, 89, of Binghamton, died February 8, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Westford, MA. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry J. Pomeroy and her son, Michael J. Pomeroy. She is survived by her children, Rita J. Pomeroy, Westford, MA, MaryAnn Cerretani, Binghamton, Thomas P. and Karen Pomeroy, Vestal; six grandchildren, Sean Pomeroy, Anthony Cerretani, Kristen Reiss, Michael Cerretani, Courtney McConoghy, Michael Pomeroy; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Falcon, Regina Sullivan; two brothers, Hubert McGavin, Thomas McGavin; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton. Betty loved being a Mom and Grandmother. Her grandchildren, being the luckiest children ever, she taught them to love and most of all laugh in her one-of-a-kind knee-slapping way. She laughed every day. May her smiling Irish eyes smile for eternity. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Church of Saints John and Andrew Friday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Betty may be made to the Danielle House, 160 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, NY 13905.
