Endwell: Richard J. Andrascik Sr., 83, of Endwell, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 13, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife, Julie Andrascik; and two sisters, Marge Fabian and Theresa Sabol. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Sue Andrascik, Endwell, and Ron and Kim Andrascik, Johnson City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patti and Paul Blazey, Newark Valley, and Marianne and Mark Russell, NC; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Lois Andrascik, Binghamton; two sisters-in-law, Angela Mihalko, Endwell and Colleen Mihalko, Town of Maine; a brother-in-law, Bernie Fabian, Endicott; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Richard was a member of The Church of the Holy Family, Endwell, a retired employee of Endicott Forging Works, a former Endicott policeman, and a US Army veteran. He was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends and he loved to fix things in his workshop. He was an avid NY Yankees fan who loved to spend time with his family playing cards and watching sports. A funeral service will be held 9:15 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Laskowski Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis St., Endwell, where a funeral mass will be offered. Burial will be in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Endwell.
