Tioga Center, NY: Janet M. Houghton, 78, of Tioga Center, NY passed away on July 9, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. She was born on June 24, 1935 the daughter of the late Ambrose and Eleanor (Pelham) McDonald. She is survived by her four children, Donald White, Tioga Center, Ruth White, Tioga Center, Rhonda (Ken) Johnson, Sauquiot, NY, and Raymond (Diane) Houghton, Owego; one brother, Lloyd (Sally) McDonald; grandchildren, Robert Russell, Stacy Russell, Jessica Russell, Amber Johnson, Heather Wolczanski, Sarah Johnson, Kennie Johnson, Ashley Keelty, Kevin (Michelle) Doherty, Aimee Doherty, Daniel Doherty; eleven great-grandchildren and one niece, Rebecca Gallo. Janet loved to read and also enjoyed to crochet. A Memorial Service will be held at Richards Funeral Home, 3670 Waverly Road, Owego, NY 13827 on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 1:00pm. Burial will be at Tioga Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at Richards Funeral Home on Monday, from 12:00-1:00 prior to the service. Please share your memories at www.RichardsFH.com.

I just discovered that your mom had passed and I am so sorry. I cannot tell you how much your mom meant to me when I was young. She was a lot of fun. I would have been to the funeral if I had known.
