Maye, Anna

Anna Maye, 86, of Johnson City, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Kenneth Maye; her parents, Mary and George Wolock; a special aunt, Theresa Dzuba; special cousins, Anna and Donald McCabe; and a niece, Karen Brewer. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Debbie (Zurner) Maye, of Johnson City; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Ann Maye and Douglas Schwarz, of Rochester; grandson, MacArthur Maye, of North Carolina, his mother Deborah and her husband Robert Toombs, of Binghamton; granddaughter, Juliana Schwarz, of Rochester; step-granddaughters, Jennifer (James) Howland, of Florida, and Jessica Johnson, of Johnson City; step-great-grandchildren Victoria, Cynthia, Savannah, and James; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Ralph Daehnke, of Virginia; and nieces and nephews, Amy (Thomas) Krupa, of North Carolina, Kathleen Cole, of Georgia, Kirk (Janie) Daehnke, of Virginia, and Kim (Me Son) Daehnke, of Alaska. Anna was a graduate of Union Endicott High School. She worked at Endicott Johnson and later at Columbian Mutual Life Insurance Co. until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary's Orthodox Church in Endicott for 75 years, and active in the Ladies Guild. Anna loved to make crafts and special desserts, and many family members and friends were the lucky recipients of her special creations. The family would like to thank the staff at Susquehanna Nursing Home for the wonderful, loving care they gave her over the past year. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 9:30 AM from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott, and at 10 AM at St. Mary's Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5 - 7 PM. The V. Rev. Michael Kleban will hold a Parastas service Tuesday, 7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Anna may be made to St. Mary's Orthodox Church, 1907 Jenkins St., Endicott, NY, 13760, or to the , 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY, 13790.
