Bob graduated from Broome Tech and Harper College. He was a devoted IBM employee for 30 years. After retiring from IBM in 1995, he turned his love and talent of woodworking into a second career. Numerous families in the area have a piece of Bob's work in their homes. Bob also enjoyed fishing, boating, times at the cottage, golfing trips to Myrtle Beach, feeding all the dogs in the neighborhood, and most of all any time spent with his family - especially his dearest grandchildren. He will be missed by his breakfast buddies at the diner. Bob was a longtime member of Vestal United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at Vestal United Methodist Church, 328 Main St., Vestal, on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Michael K. Willis will officiate. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery, Hillcrest. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be made to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850 or to Vestal United Methodist Church, Memorial Fund, 328 Main St., Vestal, NY 13850.
