Abdallah, Charles N.

Binghamton: Charles N. Abdallah, "Tips", 93, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents, Najeeb and Nuzli Abdallah; his wife, Jacqueline Dunn; his son, Charles F. Abdallah, "Bud"; his brother, Thomas Abdallah; and sisters, Edna Witteman, Alyce Olney and Thelma Weslar. Survived by his daughter, Candace M. Cunningham; grandson, Joseph Cunningham; granddaughter, Caroline Cunningham, "Doll Baby"; his brother, Frederick Abdallah; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Charlie retired from IBM Endicott, Binghamton Savings Bank, and was a basketball referee for many years, and a proud army veteran of World War II. He was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. Charlie's favorite pastimes consisted of watching his grandson play sports, watching his granddaughter dance, lounging on the beach in Cape May, NJ, golfing, Saturday breakfast with his family at the Spot Restaurant and cooking Sunday dinner for his family. His generosity and selflessness will not be forgotten. He valued his many friendships, especially with Tony Antos, Ron DePersis, Terry Heslin, Nick Markatos, Angelo Martino, Bill Mitchell, Sam Rosato, and John Taylor. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 9 Leroy St., on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
