Conklin: Eugene "Lucky" Dimidio, 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 9, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents and sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Harriet, two sons, Chuck and Patty Dimidio of Venice, FL and Gary Dimidio of Ft Lauderdale, FL and two loving step-daughters and their husbands Melanie and Daniel Mastronardi and Marsha and Jim Conrad. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer and Kevin Travis, Chad and Jennifer Diskin, Michael and Chelsie Conrad, Mindi and Andy Jacob, Bret and Leighann Mastronardi and Brian and Sommer Mastronardi, as well as 12 great-grandchildren. Lucky served in the US Army during WWII as a paratrooper. He was the owner of Manouse Dry Cleaners of Johnson City and later in life moved to Sunnyvale, CA where he retired from Watkins-Johnson Co. He was an avid NASCAR fan and also enjoyed boating and fishing. Lucky touched the lives of many people and always had a kind word to say. He will be truly missed.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 9-10am at Valley Christian Reformed Church, River Road, Binghamton, where he was a member. Pastor Kurt Monroe will officiate a 10am memorial service celebrating Lucky's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lucky's name to Valley Christian Reformed Church or A.V.R.E Association for Vision Rehabilitation, 174 Court Street, Binghamton, NY 13901.
