Age 94, of Binghamton, NY, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2012 in the presence of family. Irene was born in Steubenville, OH on February 5, 1918 to Blaze and Helen Blabac. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Alvin Edlin and her beloved daughter Toni Ann Harter. She was also preceded in death her brothers, Michael, Joseph, Steven and John Blabac; and sisters, Mary Klenovic, Peggy Palinsky, Helen Erosovich, Agnes Blaha, and Marjorie Okenica. She is survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, William R. and Lorraine Blabac, Johnson City, George Blabac, Johnson City, Paul Blabac, San Marcos, CA, Rosemary Blabac, Binghamton, and many nieces and nephews. Irene loved to travel, paint, play cards with her friends and was an avid movie fan. She loved to entertain and was the ultimate hostess, welcoming many visitors into her home through the years. Irene was a joy to all who knew and loved her. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving care given to Irene from the staffs of both Willow Point Nursing Home and Castle Garden's Keepsake Village.
