Endicott: Jane K. Allen, of Endicott, 86, went to heaven on Friday, March 23, 2012. There she was reunited with her parents, her husband, Clifford Allen, her son Kenneth Allen and a sister, Ruth Bagnick. Jane was born in Carbondale, PA, and lived there throughout high school years when she was well known as a great swimmer. She then attended the Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia. After graduation, her nursing career brought her back to Scranton until she learned of a new hospital with nurse's quarters opening in Endicott, NY. She worked in the OR at Ideal Hospital until it closed, and then worked at Wilson Hospital until she retired. Jane is survived by her daughter, The Rev. Joyce K. Allen; her brother-in-law, Clayton Bagnick; and a close network of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, and folks from the churches Joyce has served. Jane was a member of Central UMC in Endicott. Her children were her life and she gave them faith, family and a great sense of humor. A Memorial Service will be held at the Ogden-Hilcrest United Methodist Church, 1061 Chenango St., Binghamton, NY 13901 on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 4:00 PM with the Rev. Mark Marino and the Rev. Jan Marsi co-officiating. Family and friends may stop at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Kindly consider memorial contribution's in Jane's name to the Ogden-Hillcrest UMC.
