Sloan, Jean (Heath)

Formerly of Kirkwood: Jean (Heath) Sloan, 90, peacefully left this life to spend eternity with Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior on April 28, 1913. She was born January 25, 1923 at home in Johnson City. She served in the U.S. Navy from August 26, 1943 until she was honorably discharged on December 4, 1945. Jean worked for the Giant Market on Conklin Ave. for many years. She is survived by cousins, Paul Robinson, Virginia Robinson, Linda Briggs and Paula Yerger. She was always the life of the party, and will be missed by all of those who knew her. Sincere thanks to all the staff and caregivers at Elizabeth Church Campus 1st floor, for all of their kind and compassionate care during Jean's stay there. The family will hold a private service. At Jean's request she was cremated and she will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery. The Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton, assisted the family. You are invited to leave messages of condolence in Jean's online condolence book found at www.hefuneralhome.com
