Dinga, Julia R.

Endicott: Julia R. Dinga, 80, of Endicott, was reunited with her Lord and Savior Sunday morning, January 6, 2013. Julia was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Nicolina Parisi; sisters, Lucy DeSanctis and Angie Miller; brothers-in-law, Cy DeSanctis, Joe Stento, Milt Miller, Tony Iacovelli, Rudy Dinga, Bill Dinga; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Dinga. She is survived by her loving husband, John, of 60 years. Together they raised five children, Jannine (Ron) Kaye, Jay (Ardith) Dinga, Jon (Michelle) Dinga, Jodi (John) Yesensky and Jill (Terry) Hogan; 14 grandchildren, Ryan, Kaitlin, Patrick, Zach, Rocky, Jenna, Ty, Nick, Drew, Josh, Devon, Alexis, Dunovan and John Michael; great-granddaughter, Mackenzie. Also surviving are her sisters, Josie Stento and Connie Iacovelli; brothers, John, Mario (Margo) and Cosmo Parisi; many nieces and nephews and Teri Dinga. Julia was a devoted wife and mother to whom family meant everything. She loved attending her children and grandchildren's ballgames and school events throughout the years. She enjoyed reading, shopping and playing cards with her daughters, and rarely missed watching her NY Yankees. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Endicott, a past president of the St. Anne's Society and a member of the Daughters of Columbus Lodge #1666. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 9:30 a.m. from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Dinga may be made to St. Anthony's Food Pantry, 906 Jenkins St., Endicott, NY 13760 or to St. Francis Ministry c/o Sister Anisia, 906 Jenkins St., Endicott, NY 13760.
