Corey, Kevin M.
Vestal: Kevin M. Corey 50, of Vestal, NY, passed away on Monday, July 1st, 2013, with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his father, Lincoln P. Corey. He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa, of 24 years and his sons, Donavan and Duncan (home); his mother, Blanche (Vestal); sister, Cheryl (Vestal); brother, Bill (State of Washington); brother-in-law, Mike Truxal (Char), who was like a brother to him; very special friends, Bruce Cameron (Windsor) and Clara Witzenburger (Peewee); mother-in-law, Rose Krawiec (John). He is also survived by several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sister and brothers-in-law and lots of friends. Kevin loved to ride his Harley, go mudding with the CNY jeep club, fishing, and going to car shows. Kevin will be missed by all who knew him. Kevin was employed by the Press & Sun-Bulletin/Gannett for 16 years and served in the National Guard Reserves for 6 years. The family would like to thank the staff of Broome Oncology for all the support they received. There will be no calling hours but a celebration of Kevin's life will be held at the Hillcrest Fire Dept., located on Salida Ave. in Hillcrest, on Friday, July 5th, at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at Chemung Canal Trust Company Oakdale Mall office, 601-635 Harry L. Drive, Johnson City, NY, for the benefit of his children.
