Otego: 65, of Otego died Sunday April 28. She is predeceased by her parents Adam Anthony Majka and Julia Ferencik and her brother Gerald Majka. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Stephen and Ann Majka, Apalachin, sister Nadine and Roger Karns, Oneonta, brothers David and Sharon Majka, Port Crane, and Dennis Majka, York, S.C., grandchildren Owen and Elizabeth, many nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends. Linda was a career nurse at Wilson Hospital and then a clinical research coordinator at Endwell Family Physicians. She had a wonderful sense of humor keeping even the hospice nurses cheered up. She was an avid naturalist who loved her home, birding, and campfires. She was also actively involved with the Cape May Bird Conservatory. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12pm at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City. Burial will be held in St. Stanislaus Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11am until the time of the service at the Barber Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cape May Bird Conservatory, 701 East Lake Dr, Cape May Point, NJ 08212 or hang a bird feeder at their home in memory of her. The family would like to send a special thanks to the caretakers at the Caskill Hospice and all of the well wishers near and far.
