Chenango Forks: Lucille Boehm, 82, our angel Lucy has been called back home on Sunday, January 1, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Henry Glabach. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bob Boehm; her children, Gail and Nathan Lyman, Ithaca, Robert F. (Chip) and Grace Boehm, Bernardsville, NJ; grandchildren, Laura and Anthony Sidari, Buffalo, NY, Elizabeth Lyman, Lancaster, PA, Catherine (Kit) Lyman, Ithaca, NY, Andrew and Ryan Boehm, Bernardsville, NJ; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Sylvia Glabach, SC; also, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lucy graduated from Cornell University, became a registered dietitian and served as a hospital dietitian before she became an agent at Cornell Cooperative Extension. While there, she taught food preservation classes, cooking, bread making and others. She also appeared on TV, discussing with various commentators food facts and nutrition. She won two national awards for her writing in the "Food Facts" column in the Press and Sun Bulletin. Lucy was an inspiration to all who knew her. She believed in a positive attitude, compassion for all, being non-judgmental and thinking the best of everybody. A Memorial Mass will be conducted on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango Street, Hillcrest. Calling hours will be at the Church on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Lucy's name to the . Arrangements are by the James V.
