Marcelle B. Kalmbacher Obituary
Kalmbacher, Marcelle B.

Marcelle B. Kalmbacher, age 91 of Chenango Bridge, NY passed away on March 16, 2014, years after her diagnosis of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. She was predeceased by her husband Robert of 62 years and daughter Susan. She is survived by her sister, Frances Lee (York, PA); brother, Louis Petertyl (Binghamton); children, Nancy Kalmbacher (St. Augustine, FL), Robert Kalmbacher (Vestal), Amy Kalmbacher (Jacksonville, FL), Sallie Young and partner Carl (Chenango Forks); several nieces and nephews, and her beloved companion, cat Minnie. She had many dear friends over the years that she enjoyed spending time with, especially her treasured "Lunch Bunch" at Wendy's where they met almost every day. She graduated from Binghamton Central High School and attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She was lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church, Binghamton; a devoted wife, mother and homemaker - a kind & loving presence and second mom to many. She enjoyed gardening, travel with friends and family, nature and animals, reading, a good laugh and decent chocolate! She was also known for her long daily walks which she continued through the years up until very recently. She will be sorely missed but would want us all to remember happy times together and the promise of being reunited some day. Special thanks to Drs. Kloss, Fallon and LaSorte and their dedicated staff for their kind and loving care that meant a lot to her. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 19, 6PM at the Wm. R.
