Matthew Juser Obituary

Matthew Juser
of Johnson City
Matthew Juser relinquished his two-year battle with brain cancer and God called him home with love and dignity on March 11, 2010 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Ruth Sulich and grandfather, Raymond Juser. He is survived by his loving parents, Karen and Robert Juser; brother, R. Paul Juser (Anna Kovach); grandfather, Dr. John Sulich Jr.; grandmother, Mildred Juser; fiancee and love of his life, Esther Davis and her family; aunts and uncles, Barbara and Don Wright, Beverly and John Haluska, Betty and John Root, James and Joanne Juser, David and Linda Juser, and many cousins; his dog, Cassie and countless friends including Jesse Murphy. He was a graduate of BOCES Career Tech, and was a supervisor at AutoZone Endicott and a member of the East Maine Fire Dept. Matt was born with a tool in his hand, compassion in his heart and a great sense of humor. He was the ultimate car guy. Matt was a very special person. He was a very strong person who fought to the very end, he kept very positive when he was dealing with his cancer, he never complained about pain. He kept a sense of humor with him always and was very compassionate towards people's needs. He had many friends and would do anything for anyone who needed help. He was a definite blessing from God and will always be remembered.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main Street, Johnson City. The Rev. Marlene June Eissens, family Pastor of the Union Center Christian Church, will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Barber Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Cancer Survivors Fund of Broome Oncology, 30 Harrison Street, Suite 100 Johnson City, NY 13790. There will be a benefit April 16th at the Art Mission Theater to establish a scholarship in Matthew's name. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ronald Harris and Dr. Daniel Gaylon as well as the staff at Broome Oncology, ST5 and NT2 staff, Lourdes Hospice and Pastor Marlene June Eissens for their loving care of Matt.

i love you and will miss you so much we were kindered spirits together. The days go by and i cant believe its so real. One day i will see you again and that day will be so exciting. I know your watching down from heaven looking over me but i would much rather you be watching me by looking straight at me. Your were defanitely my greatest love and know we would have been together on earth for a long time. In spirit you will always be stitched in my heart as along as its beating. When im alone I imagine your next to me but were just quiet.

Bob, Karen, Paul & Esther,
I'm so sorry for the loss of Matt. He will be greatly missed. I always loved working on cutting and burning cars at the Fire Station, he was smiling the whole time, getting the final revenge against the autos, and then looking for what could be scavenged afterwords. He will be missed as friend, neighbor and brother.

To the Juicer Family and Esther.
I was saddened to hear of Matts passing. When I heard Matt was back in the hospital and not doing well,I wanted to get over to see him, to let him know I was thinking about him, it was just a few days before he passed away and never had the chance. I wished I had. I met Matt through my daughter Robyn, and when I think of Matt, I would just always smile, Becasue that's what Matt always did for people, make them laugh and smile. I know that he will be greatly missed by his loved ones and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time in your life.

To all whom knew and loved Matt,
My heart broke when I heard the news of your loss. I am saddened that such a sweet guy left this earth too soon. I know I didn't get to know him much or Esther, though I got to meet them a few times at fire station events. I always heard great things about Matt. You have touched so many lives and it is such a loss that you were taken from this earth way too soon. Though you were taken too soon....I am glad you are not hurting anymore. My heart goes out to you all. He will be missed and never forgotten. May the memories of him live on in all our hearts. My thoughts are with you all.

One of my favorite memories as a young child was coming out to your guy's house. There was always things for us to do. With Matt and Paul being my sister and my ages we always had fun coming out there. I remember one time in particular we came over and Matt (who was under 10 yrs old at the time) was taking apart a clock when we got there- he had EVERY piece apart on the kitchen table so he could try to get it put back together. He said it worked but he wanted to see if he could take it apart and put it back together. I thought that was so great his ability to see how things worked and put them back together that I went home and tried taking apart a clock but to my and especially mom's dismay I wasn't so good at it. You are such a wonderful family and I'm so deeply sorry for your loss.

Dear Juser Family and Loved ones,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Matt. I was one of his aides on NT2 and got to know him and you guys quite well. While in much pain and suffering, he still had an amazing presence. I didn't even need to know him well to know he had a good heart. He was so strong and fought such a hard fight and I regret so much that such a great person had to go so young. But he's at peace now finally. Sorry I could not attend the wake. Please accept my condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Be strong as Matt was!!

He lived his life through great humor and sincerity, even in the worst of times. It was an absolute pleasure to have known him and I am a better person because of him. His viewing today was a great celebration of his life and all the things he accomplished. God bless you all and know Matt will always hold a special place in my heart.

Anytime I think of Matt (or.. Juse to me), Although it seems hard to do right now, I will always be able to smile and even laugh thinking of all the memories I have of him and will never forget. His sense of humor was awesome and he was such a great friend. I consider myself very fortunate to have gotten to know him the way I had, and had the chance to create so many memories of and with him.
Esther, my heart goes out to you. I am so glad the two of you met, someway between all of us being friends and connected in one way or another. You were good for him and I am so happy he experienced not only loving someone but truly being loved in return. If you ever need anything I am here for you.
My friend Juse- You will always be in my heart. We haven't been real close in quite a while, but at one time we were, and I will hold onto the memories you gave me forever. You were something pretty special and I will never ever forget you.

To the rest of Matt's family and friends, my heart goes out to you as well. He was such a wonderful person and he will be missed by all who knew him.

To Matts family, although we've never met, I had the honor of meeting matt while he was attending physical therapy. And you are right, a sense of humor he did have. I can also say he taught me much more than I ever taught him, and that was COURAGE. He also gave meaning to the word GENTLE-MAN. God Bless you all. We at Lourdes Endwell PT are so sorry for your loss and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Godspeed.

Matt, we never wanted this day to come. Yes, you certainly are a gift from God. I will always remember when you were much younger kid (tall, cute, funny with the biggest feet ?) , whenever we had you and your family over for dinner, you always would follow me around the kitchen asking,"What are we having?'.."It is ready yet".."When are we going to eat"..""It looks like it's ready now!".."Are you putting it on the table NOW?" …”How about Now? Can we eat NOW?” I had to kick you out of the kitchen, you go and come right back in, you kept following me, right on my heels. AND that was with your parents making their usual McDonald’s run on the way over!

You had the biggest feet when you were kid! Even tripping a lot when you were a kid! You sneaker size kept up with your age! Size 14 at age 14! Karen had to hunt and hunt for sneakers that would fit you! :) In Raleigh, when you would come down, you had to make the daily "Juice and Honey Bun Run” to Wal-Mart. You loved our hammock, always laying it talking to your much loved and beautiful Esther on the phone. Once we witnessed you falling out of it. (and we let you know that we all saw it!) You loved our hammock so much we bought you for your house. You loved animals, always holding our dog, Baxter and Baxter certainly loved his Matt! ONE time when you were bored, you gave your dog, Cassie quite a remarkable Punk haircut even with the blue dye! Have to say, it was work of art!

You are PERFECT in everyway. You always wanted to help others. You NEVER, NEVER complained about ANYTHING. “I’m OK” is what you would say. You always thought ahead of the box. Never selfish. Kind, strong and courageous. Humorous, talented and intelligent. You could fix anything! And very handsome! If I had a son, I would want a son just like you. Matt, we will miss you so much! We will never, never forget you and we love you so much. God opened his Door for an Angel and you arrived, most likely saying “You know, this might work better if I did this to it”. I know you are up there fixing thing!

Matt was a wicked cool guy. I went to the BOCES Career Tech school with him (I only went there for 1 year), but I remember him when I went there. I remember, I think it was a Dodge Neon he had that thumping stereo system in it, and he took me for a ride in it with it turned up. I also did run into him at Autozone a couple years ago. So sad to hear he has passed away, My condolences to his family.
