Mavis Anne O'Donnell Marshall, resident of Columbia, SC, died March 6 at home surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her mother, Helen O'Donnell, father William O'Donnell and step-mother Virginia O' Donnell and is survived by her husband of 25 years, Lance Marshall, and sisters Janice Fiore (Vicky Gordon), Christine O'Donnell (Al Fortunato) and brother Vance O'Donnell (Kathryn Franz), step-brother Dennis Graham (Lynn), step-sister Barbara Pascucci (Alan), and nieces Rachel Liste (Fred Stanton), Helen O'Donnell (Noah Haskins), Jennifer O'Donnell, and Stacy Pascucci, nephews Joshua Fiore, Benjamin Fiore and Robert (Jennifer) Pascucci, and grand-niece Madison Fiore and grand-nephew Sawyer Stanton.
A memorial celebrating her life will be held April 6 at 11am at the Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Binghamton 183 Riverside Drive. All are welcome to attend. The family will greet friends before the service in the fireside room from 10:30 until the time of the service. All are invited to a luncheon immediately following the service.
Mavis was a graduate of Chenango Forks High School and attended BCC, Alfred State, and Emerson College. She performed in area theater productions and sang for the Endicott Opera Cabaret. She sang in church choirs, loved horseback riding, gardening and baking and gave cookies to friends and family every Christmas. She was also known for the bouquets of flowers from her gardens that she shared with neighbors and co-workers.
