Johnson City: 74, passed away peacefully in her home on May 12, 2013 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Sophie Burns and her younger brother Robert Burns. Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Richard C. Gulbin. She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Lisa and Patrick Kelly, Richard Gulbin Jr., Kathleen and Matthew O Donnell, Patricia and Scott Carpenter, Timothy and Kristy Gulbin, and Christina and Samuel Maltbie. Patricia was very proud of her 17 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary Lou Roberts and James Bokal, her brother Thomas Burns his wife Debbie Burns, a special aunt Elaine Pilch, and in-laws Joan and John Nezelek along with several nieces and nephews. Patricia worked as a fifth grade teacher of Language Arts at Saint James and C. Fred Middle School, both in Johnson City. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, family 'Get Togethers' and occasional trips to Tioga and Vernon Downs. She enjoyed and took great pride in her house. She loved doing puzzles, knitting and reading. Her family wishes to thank Lourdes Hospice for their expertise, care and compassion. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity Binghamton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-7pm at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc. 428 Main Street Johnson City.
