Wilfred Manns Obituary
of Friendsville, Pa.
Wilfred G. Manns of Friendsville, Pa. passed away peacefully February 4, 2009 surrounded by loved ones. He was predeceased by his daughter Alice and wife Margaretta and many brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughter Sally (Ralph) Erb, granddaughter Tara Erb (James Fennelly), grandson Trevor (Julie) Erb, sister Olive House and brother Samuel (Kay) Manns and many loving nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family, his country and his trees.
He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Evansburg, Pa. where there will be a memorial service held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Wilfred's memory may be made to the Susquehanna County Library, 2 Monument Square, Montrose, Pa. 18801; USO World Headquarters, Department WSPO Box 96860 Washington, DC 20090; Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, N.Y. 13850. Arrangements are by the Allen Memorial Home Inc. in Endicott, N.Y.
