Rigatti, Frank J.

Frank J. Rigatti, 82, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Lourdes Hospital after a long illness. He was born in New York City and was predeceased by his parents, Antoinette and Dario Rigatti; brother, John Rigatti; and baby brother, Joey Rigatti. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Karen Rigatti; sons, Dr. Damian Rigatti (Janet) of New Jersey, Tom Rigatti (Andrea) of Schenectady; and daughter, Jean Rigatti of Texas; brother, George Rigatti (Meda) of Florida; sister, Catherine Loffredo (Alfred) of Schenectady; and sister, Theresa Rigatti of Schenectady. His cousin, Gino Gentilini (Jackie) of New York City, was like Frank's third brother. His grandchildren are Luke and Julia, Veronica and Anthony, also several nieces and nephews. Frank worked as a Senior Public Work Wage Investigator for the New York State Dept of Labor, for 35 years. He served in the army during the Korean War as an MP. He loved gardening, woodworking, and making knives, furniture and wine. He loved to read, especially history. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinon, NY. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, August 8, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Frank's name to the .
