Roger Paoletti 92, of Binghamton passed away Friday February 7, 2014 at his home. He was predeceased by his loving wife Tilda in 2008; parents Amerigo and Caterina Paoletti and his brothers Guido, Joseph Sr., Rudy Sr., and Frank. He is survived by his children Patricia (Stuart) Slater of Syracuse, James (Dorothy) Paoletti of Endwell, Jean (Donald) Prutisto of Vestal, Laura Kilburg of Syracuse, Richard (Kathy) Paoletti of Rochester; 13 grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law Floyd (Barbara) Paoletti of Inverness, FL, Anne Paoletti of Binghamton, Rheba Paoletti of Endwell as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a survivor of Omaha Beach and fought all the way to the Russian border. He was a recipient of 4 purple hearts and various marksman's awards. He retired from IBM Endicott after 33 years and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, winemaker and a master gardener. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am Wednesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the
