Yezzi, Hazel R.

On January 31, 2014, Hazel Yezzi passed quietly into her next life. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Helen Zawtsos, her brother Edgar Pensinger, her sisters Lillie Rozell, Violet Dauphine, Reta Wallace, Betty Pennington and her previous husband James "Ted" Frangolis. Hazel is survived by her husband Peter, her sister Laura (Bob) Frost, step-son Joe (Peg) and many beloved nieces, nephews and step grandchildren as well as her Good Shepherd Village "family."

Hazel was proof that good things do indeed come in small packages. Though diminutive in stature, she was larger than life in many ways. Her exuberance for life was exceeded only by her kind heart and generous nature and whoever coined the term "social butterfly" must have done so with Hazel in mind. Equal parts sweet and spicy and never one to be seen and not heard, she passes from this existence into the next, leaving a piece of herself in the heart of everyone she came to know.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Good Shepherd Village for the excellent care Hazel received during her stay there. Finally, it was Hazel's wish that there be no memorial service. Instead, please pause for a moment, remember a time you may have shared with her…and smile.
