Hunt, Joan (Holochak)
Joan (Holochak) Hunt, 74 of Endicott, died peacefully Thursday, February 13, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Susie and Michael Holochak; an infant daughter, Geralynn; five sisters, Mary Karl, Helen Vojtisek, Betty Dwornik, Delores Santoni and Irene Eskra; two brothers, Eugene and Michael Holochak. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Kenneth Hunt; four children, Jolene (Jim) Hover, Carole (Dave) Quealy, Carrie (Larry Coppola) VanAuken, Kevin (Wendy) Hunt; eleven grandchildren, Zachary, Kayla and Ashley Smacher, Jesse and Cory Quealy, Stephanie (Greg) Milunich, Nick, Tyler, Katie and Kyle VanAuken, Myles Hunt; one great-grandson, Gavin Milunich; her sister-in-law, Theresa Holochak; her brother-in-law, Sam Santoni; her mother-in-law, Marie Stetson; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Michele Stetson; special friends, Mary and Duane Starchok; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Endicott. Joan took pride in crocheting afghans, especially when someone was getting married or having a baby. She also loved to cook, but her biggest joy was spending time with her family.
The Office of Christian Burial (Funeral Services) will be held Monday 10:00 am at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church 106 N. Rogers Ave. Endicott. Entombment will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. The Rev. Peter Tomas will hold Parastas (prayer service), Sunday at 4:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the
