Cebula, Vincent

Binghamton: Vincent S. Cebula, 65, passed away at home on Monday, February 17, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter & Elizabeth Cebula. He is survived by his loving wife, Gerda Cebula; two sons and daughters-in-law, Karl & Annette Cebula, and Vincent & Lisa Cebula, all of Binghamton; 1 granddaughter, Christina Cebula. Also survived by 2 brothers, Walter Cebula and Anthony Cebula; 2 sisters, Dolores Cebula and Rosie Whiley; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, John Richards. He was a retired employee of the City of Binghamton with 35 years of service and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at the Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton, and at 9:30 AM at the Church of the Holy Trinity, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Vincent's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Lourdes Hospital and Lourdes Hospice for taking such good care of him.
