DuBrava Sr., Theodore J.

Theodore J. DuBrava Sr. "Grampy" 59 of Binghamton passed away February 18, 2014. He is predeceased by his father Theodore S. DuBrava; sister Patricia (Ernie) Carpeneter; grandparents John and Serafina Juracek. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Patricia (VanMarter) DuBrava; son's Teddy Jr., Justin (Molly) DuBrava, David DuBrava; sister Annette (Jeff) DaBella; mother Anna (Juracek) DuBrava; beloved grandchildren Sadie and Caleb DuBrava; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and his mother and father in law. He graduated from North High School in 1974 and Dean Junior College in 1976. He worked at IBM Corp. where he was in their Quarter Century Club, Raymond Corporation and First Student. He was a stand out athlete playing Football and baseball, as well as St. Cyril's CYO basketball. He led Palace A softball to many city leauge Championships. He coached his boys from Little Leauge baseball to Babe Ruth and American Legion Baseball. He catered many events at the Legion Post 1645 and was known for starting the Poultry division at the Spiedie Fest. He also loved hunting, fishing and his cooking will be missed by all. The family wishes to thank all the nurses and doctors at Binghamton General Hospital for their loving care. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY. A Funeral Mass will be offered 10am Saturday at STS. John and Andrew Church. Burial will be in Holy Spirit Cemetery.
