94, Hallstead, PA was called home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2014 with his granddaughter, Jill, at his side. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Celeste, his daughter, Rose Ann, and his parents, Elmer and Cecile Whited. Dwight is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Dwight was a graduate of Hallstead High School and resided in Hallstead 92 years. He served with the Army in World War II. Dwight is a 67 year member and charter member of the American Legion Post #357. He retired from G.A.F. in Binghamton. Dwight and Celeste owned Whited Photo Studio and were known for photography in Susquehanna County and for bird photography. His great grandchildren will always remember Poppy's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Dwight was a loving dad and Poppy and will be missed. A committal service with military honors will be made in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Great Bend, PA in the spring and will be announced then. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA.
