Slocum, Annette M.
Annette M. (Orband) Slocum passed away on March 2, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents Tony and Minnie Orband; her husband J. Gary Sr. and brother Bart Orband. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Terisa and Danny Morabito; son J. Gary Slocum Jr. and daughter-in-law Kelly Slocum; the lights of her life her granddaughters Natalie and Jennifer Morabito; her sister-in-law Judy Orband; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Gail and Fran Schumeyer, Craig and Jeana Slocum, Nikki Slocum, Carla Blechman, Chris and Margy Slocum; aunts and uncles, Rachael Cerretani, Dominic and Virginia Orband, Julianne Orband, and Vicky Lloyd as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved her life and was blessed with many friends especially Elaine, Maryle, Joanne, Mary, Brigette and June. Annette was the Town Justice for over 30 years in the Town of Dickinson and a member and past president of the Broome County Magistrates Assoc.; a member of the Women's Abruzzese Club and a lifelong parishioner of St. Paul's Church. She left this life with love and hope that everyone would be a little kinder to each other. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton and continue at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Church 282 Chenango St. Binghamton, NY 13901 where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call the Shea Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. The Women of the Abruzzese Club will meet at 6pm on Monday at the funeral home.
