Binghamton: On March 14, 2014, God peacefully called Mary Cummiskey (Mrva) home. Mary was born on October 20, 1925 and lived a very full and happy life. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Patrick, whom she married on September 8, 1973. She was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters, except one, Irene Kelemecz. She was also survived by Pat's children and grandchildren; a very special niece, Kathleen Mosier (Kelemecz); a grandniece, Charlsie Mosier; and a beloved family friend, Donna Green; as well as many other nieces and nephews. During her time here on Earth Mary loved to golf, go to the Broadway Diner with Donna, and host parties at her home. She now rejoins her husband in heaven where they can once again be together. The family would like to thank the Hopkins House for going above and beyond with their care of Mary while she was battling Alzheimer's. The staff had been nothing but loving and had become a second family to Mary. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 19th, 2014, at St. James Church, 155 Main St., Johnson City, NY. Arrangements are by J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, NY. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Please direct expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary to Jennifer Hopkins at The Hopkins House, 35 Sunset Dr., Binghamton, NY 13905.
