Apalovich, Diane (Lyman)

Newark Valley: Diane E. Apalovich, 67, passed peacefully on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2014, to be united once again with the love of her life and husband of 35 years, John D. Apalovich. John passed on August 17, 2000. Diane is survived by her devoted children and their spouses, Natalie and Glenn Hollenbeck and John and Teri Apalovich; her cherished grandchildren whom she adored, Miranda (Alex), Ciara, Collin, Kaitlynn, Lillie and Hayden; her sister and brother and their spouses, Susan and David Smith, Dale and Helen Lyman; several nieces, nephews and cousins, among them her very special cousins, Patricia Moser and Douglas Moser. The family would like to acknowledge Absolut of Endicott with a special Thank You to Carla, whom Diane admired. Diane was born on August 8, 1946, a daughter of the late Edwin and Eunice (Nichols) Lyman. She graduated from Vestal High School in 1964 and was a former employee of Endicott Precision. She was a very thoughtful, kindhearted and gentle woman with a contagious smile and will be greatly missed. Diane's family will celebrate her life ALWAYS. At Diane's request, a private family service will be held at a later date in Hope Cemetery. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, is assisting with arrangements. Memories and condolences may be written in Diane's guest book at macphersonfh.com.
