Obituary Condolences

Cerra, Max

Endwell: Max Cerra, age 90, of Endwell, NY, left her earthly life behind on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Joseph Cerra, in July of 2008; her parents, Richard and Rosie Fell; her infant daughter, Joanne Cerra; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Cerra; her brothers, Douglas, Edward, Roland, Frank and Hoyt; her sisters, Eunice and Otis. Max is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo (Mark) Wilbur; her sons, Richard (Jenny) Cerra, Robert (Rosena) Cerra; her brothers, Richard (Cathy) Fell, Gene (Bobbi) Fell; her grandchildren, Regina Hunt, Cathy Jo Land, Robert Cerra, Jr. and their families. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Irene Cerra, Anna Lally and Mary Fell; also many nieces and nephews who she was very fond of. Max was truly one of a kind and very proud of her southern heritage. She was born and raised in Haleyville, AL. She was always good-natured, easy-going with a zest for life no matter what it dealt her. Although she is gone from our sight, you cannot extinguish her spirit or her light that will continue to live on with each one of us who knew and loved her. Her pride and joy along with her husband Joe was owning and operating the Boulevard Diner in Endwell, NY for more than 40 years (now the Broadway Diner). Max and Joe enjoyed a long retirement and lived life to the fullest. Private funeral services will be held at the Church of the Holy Family followed by entombment in Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Church of the Holy Family, Endwell, or the Girl Scouts of America, Binghamton, NY.
