Binghamton: Clara Briggs, 79, of Binghamton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 23, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mariam Kasabian; stepson, William Briggs; siblings, Anna, Isadore and George Kasabian; and special sister-in-law, Marjorie Connolly. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William F. Briggs; four children and their spouses, Debra and Timothy Weyant, Edward Briggs and fiancée, Carol, Diane and Scott Chilson, Michael Briggs and partner, Robert A. Gavin; five grandchildren, T.J. and Amberlee Weyant, Danny Clark, Reneé Briggs-Henry, Bill Briggs; brother-in-law, Raymond Briggs; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kasabian and Arlene Vosbury; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and good friend, Gloria Briggs. Clara retired from Endicott Johnson. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. Clara loved gardening, cooking, and trips to the casino. At Clara's request, there will be a private graveside service at the convenience of the family at Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
