Nancy L. Martin, 64

Our loving wife, mother and Grammy was welcomed by the angels with open arms on March 11, 2014. She is now tickling her toes in the sand and listening to the ocean waves in heaven.

Nancy was born on March 3, 1950 in Binghamton, New York. She will always be remembered for her caring and generous ways. She was happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren. Grammy loved hosting tea parties and spending time in the pool with her favorite foursome. She also took pleasure in cooking large meals for her family, sewing, decorating her home and spending time at the beach.

Nancy spent many wonderful years raising her daughters with her loving husband. She took pride in the accomplishments of her family and always loved to hear exciting news from her grandchildren. Nancy enjoyed traveling between her homes in Florida and North Carolina and visiting New York to see family and friends. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Norma Giammarino, her brother, James Giammarino, and her father-in-law, R.C. Martin Sr. She leaves behind a devoted husband of 43 years, Bobby Martin, Jr., two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole and Dennis David of Denver, NC and Courtney and Greg Lee of Fabius, NY and her mother-in-law, Frances Martin of Kirkwood, NY. Also to cherish her memory are her four fun-loving grandchildren, Alyssa David, Nicholas, Owen and Ava Lee and her sisters and brothers-in-law: Gina Giammarino and John Corea, Jennie and Chuck Ryan, Cathie Aber, Bobby Aber, Jon and Rachael Martin, David and Andrea Martin and Jill and Daren Lynch. She is also survived by a special nephew and his wife, Nicholas and Maria Giammarino, as well as many other nieces and nephews and numerous cherished friends. Please join us on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at St. Mary's in Kirkwood, New York as we honor Nancy and celebrate her life. Visitation will be held from 9 until 10am followed by a Memorial Mass at 10am. Memorial contributions may be made to William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Parkway, Palm Bay, Florida 32907 who so kindly and generously served Nancy and her family during her final days. Arrangements are in the care of Albert J. DeMarco at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC.
