Totman, Leon Martin

Binghamton: Leon Martin Totman, 101, passed away on April 19, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice in 2001. He is survived by his children, Robert Totman, of Alabama; Richard and Andrea Totman; and Mary Ann and Daniel Bruet, of Binghamton; his grandchildren, Amy and Kyle Bunker, Beth Bruet, Katie Bruet, Craig Totman, and Kelly Totman; his great-grandchildren, Shamar (J.R.) Mead and Andrew, Lucy, and Brody Bunker. Leon was born on January 18, 1913 in Guilford, NY where he spent his early years. He graduated in 1934 from Albany College of Pharmacy and had the honor of being the oldest living graduate. He worked as a pharmacist for Hamlin Drug Store, Parke-Davis Company, and Park Pharmacy. Leon enjoyed golfing, watching sporting events, especially the Mets, and an occasional Manhattan. How blessed our family was to have Dad with us for so many years, wonderful memories for us all. Our family is so grateful for the staff at Elizabeth Church Manor and St. Louise Manor for the care given to Leon, our heartfelt thanks go out to all of them. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango St. Binghamton. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leon's memory may be made to Elizabeth Church Manor, 863 Front St. Binghamton, NY 13905 or to the .
