Anna (LaNave) McHugh, 88, of Binghamton passed away peacefully on June 7, 2014. She is predeceased by her husband Frank J. McHugh; parents Grace (Celeste) and Vito LaNave; four sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her sister Jennie Merrifield; children Maureen (Paul) Gaylord, Karen Otten, Frank McHugh (Donna), Tricia (Shawn) Robinson and Dan (Kate) McHugh; grandchildren Morgan and Mia Gaylord, Sara (Derek) Spencer, Lisa Otten (Justin), Dena and Jenna Iadanza, Brittney McHugh, Troy and Hayley Robinson; great-grandchildren Blake Spencer and Ana Elmer; cousin Bertha Colavito and several nieces and nephews. Anna retired from Rogers Apparel after 25 years and was a lifetime member and volunteer of St. Paul's Church. She enjoyed meeting her friends daily for coffee at McDonalds, no matter what the weather. She was an excellent cook and famous for her meatballs. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hilltop Nursing Home for their care and support during her illness. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Wednesday at St. Paul's Church in Binghamton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
