Fadden, Norma Jean

1929 - 2014

Norma Jean Fadden, 84, surrounded by her children at home, was called to eternal rest on Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was predeceased by her most loving husband, Richard; her parents, three sisters and a brother. She is survived by her children, Richard (Coleen) Fadden, Daniel (Terri) Fadden, Jeffrey (Jakolynn) Fadden, Christine Fadden (Craig Schwarz); grandchildren, Aaron, Rachel, Melissa Fadden, Will and Alexandra (Fadden) McCabe; sisters, Gerada Nelson (Oklahoma), Ramona Perrine (Syracuse); and her devoted friend, Walter Pragacz. Norma retired after 26 years of service with the Chenango Valley Central School system. A more loving and compassionate parent one could not have; with her most significant attribute being her ability to always put her family foremost above all else; especially herself. Calling hours will be at Wm. R. Chase Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, NY 13901 on Wednesday, June 18, from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango St., Binghamton NY 13901. Burial will be a private service in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Scleroderma Foundation or Lourdes Hospice of Binghamton.
