Eltringham, Anthony M. "Tony"

Anthony M. "Tony" Eltringham, 39, of Johnson City, NY formerly of Franklindale, PA passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 24, 2014 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. "Tony" as he was known by his family and friends was born in State College, PA on October 10, 1974 the son of Gary A. Eltringham and Donna McClintic Stout. He was a graduate of Towanda Area High School class of 1993 and as a student was a member of the high school band. He continued his education at Elmira Business Institute, Elmira, NY graduating in 1995 and was employed by Elm Chevrolet in Elmira while attending EBI. Tony was employed by IBM in Endicott, NY for 17 years. He formerly served as an emergency medical technician for the Towanda Ambulance Association and was a member of the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department. Tony enjoyed camping, music and attending concerts. Most of all, Christmas was his favorite time of the year. Surviving are his husband, Gregory D. Doane of Johnson City; parents, Donna Stout of Towanda, Gary and Karen Eltringham of Athens; step dad, Ken Hoover Jr. of Towanda; siblings, Christopher McClintic and wife Virginia of Athens, Jason Eltringham of Puyallup, WA, Kelley Eltringham Hursh and husband David of Dover, DE, Jerame Eltringham of Athens, Ariel Overdorff of Towanda; maternal grandparents, Robert and Betty McClintic of Franklindale; niece, Bethanie; nephews, Daniel and Conner; mother-in-law and husband, Kathy and John Tokos of Endicott; father-in-law, Doug Doane of Conklin, NY; brother-in-law, Gordon Doane of Conklin, NY; aunt, Susan Blau and husband David of Marietta, GA; as well as numerous additional family members, special friends and his canine companions, Jasper and Chance. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home 217 York Ave. Towanda, PA. The family will provide their own flowers and requests that contributions in assistance be directed to Gregory D. Doane, 83 Baker St. Johnson City, NY 13790 in Tony's memory.
