Pandich, Julia (Komar)

Julia (Komar) Pandich, age 95, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2014. She was born August 23, 1918 in Binghamton, NY. Julia was known as "Baba" to her grandchildren and had the nickname "SJ" (Super Julia). She was predeceased by her husband, Michael (Slim) Pandich; her parents, Andrew and Susan Komar; her three brothers and seven sisters. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Janice), Richard (Suzanne), Francis, and Andrew (Donna) Pandich. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Lynne (Terry) Deamer, Kathleen (Stephen Sobel) Pandich, Julie (Jim) Wyatt, Michael Page, Rachael Lee, Michael Pandich, Elizabeth Pandich, Andrew (JoAnn) Pandich Jr.; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, especially Martha Kostun and Patty Ann Regulski. She was a 60-year member of the Post 1254 Auxiliary. We would like to thank Dr. Tom Martin for his special care and Lourdes Home Hospice. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to her favorite charity, St. Jude's. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 19 from 4-7 p.m. at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango St., Hillcrest on Wednesday, August 20 at 10 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery, Rt. 12, Chenango Bridge.
