Armando DiRado, 72, of Endicott, died at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Friday, December 25, 2009. He was predeceased by his parents, Aquilino and Antonietta DiRado and father-in-law, Steve Vavra. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Vavra) DiRado; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Armond S. DiRado and Adam J. and Erin DiRado, all of Endicott; a sister and brother-in-law, Maria and Roberto D'Amore, Italy; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Samuele, Argentina, Francesco and Michelina, Ettore and Antonietta and Camillo and Malfisa, all of Binghamton; his mother-in-law, Libra (Roma) Vavra, Endicott; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Steve and Debra Vavra, Candor and Richard Vavra, Endicott; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott and was retired from Sall-Stearns, Binghamton. His memberships included Duca Degli Abruzzi Lodge #443, Endicott, Order Sons of Italy in America and the Independent Mutual Aid Club, Endicott.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 9:30 AM from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10 AM. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
