Age 73, died suddenly on November 10, 2010, resulting from surgical complications. Predeceased by his father and co-founder of Crowley Foods, Frank L. Crowley and his mother, Mary V. Crowley, predeceased by his brothers, Homer Crowley, Brian Crowley and step-brother, Eugene Crowley. Survived by his loving spouse of over 50 years, Joan M. Crowley; three children, daughter, Dr. Brooke Crowley-Esposito and son-in-law, Dr. Albert Esposito; two grandchildren, Colby Esposito and Cleary Esposito of Bellport, NY; son Kiernan M. Crowley, Esq. and daughter-in-law, Meghan Young Crowley; four grandchildren, Conlon Crowley, Ronan Crowley, Brody Crowley and Alley Crowley of Binghamton, NY; daughter, Kendall Crowley-Quackenbos and son-in-law, John Quackenbos; two grandchildren, Layk Quakenbos and Boden Quackenbos of Newton, MA. Survived by step-brother, Dr. Leonard Crowley of Minneapolis, MN. David F. Crowley was a graduate of Binghamton High School, Boston College and Syracuse Law School. He started his legal career working in Albany, NY, as Assistant Counsel to Senate Minority Leader George Ingalls, continued in his private practice at Shaw, O'Brien, Crowley & Reynolds for over 45 years. Appointed City Court Judge in 2004, member of the New York State Bar Association, Broome County Bar Association, former Chairman of Broome County Republican Party, General Counsel for American Pipe & Plastics, Inc. and interim CEO, New York Delegate Republican National Convention 1980, member of Binghamton Boys & Girls Club. David loved playing tennis and spending time with family and friends. His two favorite places, Oguaga Lake and Freeport Bahamas, and of course driving his 1951 MG.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, on Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St. Binghamton, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Schools of Broome County, 9 Livingston St. Binghamton, NY 13903 or to the Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton, 90 Clinton St., Binghamton, NY 13905, in David F. Crowley's memory.
