Thorine J. (DeVoe) (Carson) Carpenter Obituary
Thorine J. (Carson) (DeVoe) Carpenter of Windsor, went home on Wednesday December 29, 2010. She was born in Deposit, NY on November 10, 1928 to the late James & Isabelle (Neff) Carson. Thorine is survived by her loving husband, Milton H. Carpenter, her brothers; Robert & Georganna Carson, Maurice J. Carson, children; Randy & Debbie DeVoe, William J. & Mary Ann DeVoe, Dennis & Lindy Carpenter, Christina & Clyde Doolittle, grandchildren; Jason & Audrey DeVoe, Michael & Kelly DeVoe, Jessica Cicon, Nicole & Scotty, DJ Carpenter, Timmy Carpenter, Heather Carpenter, Angela Carpenter, great grandchildren; whom all called her G G, Trinity, Sadie, Marissa, Madison, Hanna, Oliver, Maxton, Anthony & Elliott. Thorine was a member of the Occanum Community Church, she was also a former Boy Scout Den Mother, a Baker for the Deposit Diner and former employee of the Bowman's Dairy Bar in Windsor. She was retired from both Broome Developmental Center and Windsor CSD as a bus driver. She was a 1st place blue ribbon winner for her strawberry rhubarb pie. Thorine was a devout, loving, compassionate and understanding wife, mother and grandmother. A Celebration of Thorine's life will be held on Saturday January 1, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Free Methodist Church in Windsor with Pastor Kevin Rollo officiating. burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to the Free Methodist Church on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service. Those wishing kindly consider a memorial contribution in Thorine's name to a charity of your choice.
