LANE, Mary E.

Johnson City: Mary E. Lane, 88, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, June 23, 2011 at the James G. Johnston Memorial Home. She was predeceased by her parents, Bertha and Metro Modlo; her twin brother, John Modlo; brother, Steve Modlo; and a sister, Helen Modlo. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Howard Lane, Johnson City; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Laurie Lane; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Mike Crisanti, Conklin, Mary Ellen and Michael Sloma, Binghamton; six grandchildren, Kelly (Mark) Browning, James (Nancy) Lane, and Marianne Lane; Michael Crisanti Jr., Karen (Jon) Levie; and Corey Sloma; seven great-grandchildren, Aiden, Sanders and Alaina Browning; Alice Lane; Isabella, Maely and Kiersten Levie; a sister, Anna Sedlacek; a brother, Robert Modlo and a sister-in-law, Lena Modlo, all of Johnson City; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City. Mary enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach, taking day trips with Howard, loved dollar stores and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandma Lane will be deeply missed by all. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at James G. Johnston Memorial Nursing Home for their attentive care and kindness given to Mary.

Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City Tuesday at 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church, where a funeral mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the St. James Memorial Fund, 147 Main St., Johnson City, NY 13790 in Mary E. Lane's memory.
