Taylor, Joan M.

Vestal: Joan M. Taylor, 78, passed away at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 26, 2011. She was pre-deceased by her parents, James and Helen McQuillen, a brother, Edward McQuillen, her husband, Robert R. Taylor, and a son, Robbie Taylor. She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Nowlan, FL, Anne Riggie and Maureen Speen, both of Vestal, one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Elizabeth Taylor, Johnson City, 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Helen McQuillen, CA, a brother and sister-in-law, John and Bonnie McQuillen, FL, sisters-in-law, Joyce McQuillen and Connie Carson and sister-in-law and her husband, Mary and Roy Schutt, all of New York State and several nieces and nephews. Joan was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal. She was retired from Hilltop Nursing Center in Johnson City and was a former member of the Endicott Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Hilltop Nursing Center, especially Joan's Aide, Senka for their care and concern while Joan was a resident there.
