James Blaison Obituary
James A. Blaison, Sr., 88, formerly of Newburgh, NY, passed away Wednesday morning, November 30, 2011 at the New York State Veterans' Home, Oxford, NY, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marion Blaison, Binghamton; his children, Jacqueline and Gordon Conklin, Newburgh, NY, Mary Ann Blaison, Binghamton, Dawn Paterson and Kerry Edick, Endicott, Kenneth and Wendy Blaison, Endicott, Laura Lee Blaison, Trumansburg, NY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, George Blaison and companion Carmella, Newburgh, NY; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a veteran of WWII and Korea, serving in the U.S. Army. Jim enjoyed plumbing, painting, assembling model cars, puzzles, hunting and fishing, loved animals and being with people. Funeral Services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main Street, Johnson City on Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12 noon until time of services.
